This course is designed for the student who wants an introduction to jewelry making. Students become acquainted with the jewelry studio and basic techniques that are utilized in designing and creating jewelry. Students will make a finished piece of wearable jewelry and be prepared to continue into our in depth 12-week course Intro to Metals + Jewelry. Techniques covered include sawing, riveting, texturing, and patination.

 $325 (includes $25 materials fee)

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
