Elliot Keeley I Thursdays I 6:30-10pm I September 11 - October 2

This 4 week class will be an introduction to the fundamentals of sand casting. Great for any experience level, this class is perfect for the student who is interested in a quick and satisfying approach to making cast objects without investing in the tools and materials associated with other casting processes. Using simple materials and templates, students will first create a “master” model that can be replicated in metal. This course will cover flask preparation, metal calculation, casting, and finishing to achieve the best results from this process. 

No experience necessary.

 $350 (includes a $50 materials fee)

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
