This course will give students the opportunity to learn digital sculpting and modeling techniques using the Pixologic Zbrush software. Students will learn a variety of approaches to create 3D models: this will involve sculpting using a variety of pre-loaded brushes, surface altering and deforming, as well as some digital painting and rendering techniques. Students will leave the course with the ability to generate 3D models which can be used for 3D printing. No experience necessary. A laptop computer that can run Pixologic ZBrush is required. A 2-week trial for ZBrush can be found here after the free trial students will need to pay for a month of the program valued at $49.99. 

Students will need an internet connection as this class will be taught online via Zoom.

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
