Sign up deadline: June 17

Students will make silicon molds of found objects, wax carvings, and clay sculptures with the intention of making resin casts. Through the process of making multiples, the class will explore the repetition, variation, and alteration of the cast form. Resin can be altered with pigments, and other granular materials, allowing students to play with color, texture, and mass.

No experience necessary. Materials kit provided. Registration includes a $50 materials fee.

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
