Rings are some of the most iconic forms of jewelry. This one day workshop is for the beginning student who is interested in learning what goes into creating a ring. Students, with instructor assistance, will make a ring band from start to finish; they will learn how to bend, texture, form, and color metal. The creative process that goes into designing unique work will be discussed through the presentation of contemporary and historic work.

No experience necessary.

$190 (includes a $25 materials fee)

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
