Have you taken a casting class at the BJC before and want more but don't want to work through class projects? Casting Open Studio gives you access to the BJC casting equipment with 2 scheduled, in-class casting sessions, along with weekly dedicated instructor access. This course is designed for makers who want the freedom to work on their own projects but would also benefit from the guidance and assistance of an instructor who can help them problem-solve, sprue, invest, cast and finish. The course will be free from weekly demonstrations and the instructor will work 1-on-1 with students to manage their time and craft the objects they want to craft.

Prerequisite: Waxworking 1 or equivalent experience necessary

 $380 (includes a $50 materials fee)

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
