This course is designed to provide intermediate or advanced students with space and support to develop their own voices and perspectives as makers. Reading, discussion, and feedback sessions with the instructor and fellow classmates will aid students in their own explorations of form, material, and meaning. 
This exploration will further be aided by technical insight and demonstrations informed by students’ interests. Students will have the opportunity to start fresh on new work and ideas, or to further develop an existing collection or body of work.

Prerequisite: Intro to Metals + Jewelry or equivalent experience.

This course does not have a materials kit.

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
