Bead + Flush Stone Setting - Two Day Workshop

In this class students will look at decorative setting techniques that are perfect for small gemstones. Using faceted stones students will work alongside an instructor to perfect these delicate settings. The use of gravers, burnishes and bead setting tools will all be discussed as students will work with sample rings or their own handmade pieces.  Other stone setting tools and tool maintenance will also be covered.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Metals + Jewelry or equivalent experience.

Materials kit provided. Registration includes a $35 materials fee.

Tuition and fee for classes at the Baltimore are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to encourage more donations and subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
