In this four-week class, students will learn and make molds effective for casting pewter. Prior mold-making experience is not required. The class will cover the basics of moldmaking and will learn different pewter finishing techniques. Pewter is a great, accessible metal, and through this class, students will build knowledge and confidence in working with this metal.

No experience required.

Materials kit provided. Registration includes a $50 materials fee.

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
