Textured Enamel Pendants

Andy Lowrie | Saturday | 9:30 am - 4:00 pm | July 25

Signup Deadline: July 1

This course is designed to offer curious students a taste of the vitreous enameling process. You will learn how to apply transparent enamel (glass) to textured copper pendants. Working with pre-cut copper shapes, you will add texture with punches and stamps; learn how to wash and fuse enamel to copper; and how to create a smooth, glossy finish. By the end of the day you will walk away with 1 finished, wearable piece. If you have never enameled before and want to try your hand, this is the course for you.

No experience necessary. Material kit provided. Registration includes a $50 materials fee.

Tuition and fee for classes at the Baltimore are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to encourage more donations and subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
