This course focuses on the fabrication of hollow rings through fundamental construction techniques. Students will learn how to build volume using hollow form methods while developing clean seams and solid structure. The process will include forming, assembling, and soldering hollow components to create a finished ring. Students will work toward completing one hollow ring, with the potential to complete a second depending on pace. The goal of the course is to introduce hollow construction in a clear, approachable way while building confidence at the bench.

Tuition and fees for classes at the Baltimore Jewelry Center are subsidized in large part by grants and contributions from our community. The rate that we charge for each class covers only 60% of the true cost to run the class. In an effort to more equitably fund our classes and encourage more donations to subsidize our programs, we are now pricing classes on a sliding scale. If you are able to do so, please consider paying a higher rate for your class. The difference you pay will be considered a donation and you will be issued a donation receipt.
